Topical, nasal and ophthalmic antihistamine.
According to the manufacturer, plasma concentrations achieved after nasal or ophthalmic administration are very low and are eliminated in breast milk in clinically insignificant amounts, 0.3-0.6% of the maternal dose: 1.5 to 3 micrograms. (AEMPS 2021 and 2020, J&J 2010)
As with most topical ophthalmic and nasal preparations, the tiny dose and its low passage into the bloodstream make it compatible with breastfeeding.
