Alpha-1 adrenergic blocker used in benign prostatic hypertrophy and problems of voiding difficulty or obstruction including urolithiasis. Oral administration once daily.

At the date of last update we found no published data on its excretion in breast milk.

Its pharmacokinetic data (very high percentage of protein binding and moderately high molecular weight and volume of distribution) make it unlikely that significant quantities will pass into milk.

Expert authors consider it compatible with breastfeeding by controlling the appearance of irritability, fatigue, nausea or diarrhoea in the infant. (Hale, LactMed)
