The fruit of the plant is used. It contains a lot of vitamin C and tannins, flavonoids (quercetin, catechin and epicatechin), gallic acid, coumarinic acid, carotenoids (rubixanthin, lycopene, beta-carotene), pectin, malic and citric acid, vitamins B1 and E and triterpenes. Antioxidant action. It is used as food (jams, soups) and in traditional medicine for the prevention of colds and to relieve fatigue. (Fototerapia.net)
