The fruit of the plant is used. It contains a lot of vitamin C and tannins, flavonoids (quercetin, catechin and epicatechin), gallic acid, coumarinic acid, carotenoids (rubixanthin, lycopene, beta-carotene), pectin, malic and citric acid, vitamins B1 and E and triterpenes.
