White clay which is composed by hydrated aluminum silicate that is used orally as absorbent (It absorbs water, toxins and bacteria) for the treatment of Acute Gastroenteritis. Often associated with other antidiarrheal drugs like Pectin. It is also used topically on the skin in the form of poultices to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Light kaolin is also used as a food additive.
