Safe product and/or breastfeeding is the best option.

Herbaceous plant widely used since ancient times in the cuisine of many societies as salad and more recently as a substitute or adulterant of coffee.
In traditional medicine the root is used. It contains inulin (fructose polymer) and lactones.
Unproven properties: laxative, aperitif, digestive and choleretic. Indications by Commission E of the German Ministry of Health: anorexia, dyspepsia.

At latest update no published data on excretion into breast milk was found.

Given its lack of toxicity, moderate consumption would be compatible with breastfeeding.
Extracts that contain Inulin are added to artificial infant formulas (beginning-type) to fight constipation.
