アミノ安息香酸

Likely Compatibility

Fairly safe. Mild or unlikely adverse effects. Compatible under certain circumstances. Follow-up recommended. Read Commentary.

It is found in animal organ meats (liver, kidney), brewer's yeast, unfiltered beer), molasses, mushrooms, and whole grains. Aminobenzoic acid is applied topically as a sunscreen in the UVB range and little to none in the UVA range (Antoniou 2008). Orally it is used without evidence as a nutritional supplement.

At the date of the last update we did not find any published data on its excretion in breast milk.

The small dose and poor plasma absorption of most topical dermatological preparations make it unlikely that a significant amount will pass into breast milk. The percutaneous absorption of aminobenzoic acid is less than 20%. (Wester 1998)

Product of null or low therapeutic utility, perfectly dispensable. (INSALUD 2001)

Suggestions made at e-lactancia are done by APILAM team of health professionals, and are based on updated scientific publications. It is not intended to replace the relationship you have with your doctor but to compound it. The pharmaceutical industry contraindicates breastfeeding, mistakenly and without scientific reasons, in most of the drug data sheets.
